Nigel is a disenfranchised noble son from a minor branch of House Davion intent on winning back his family’s lands and reputation. Possible options for the family’s ill-fortunes could include corporate maneuvering, a costly gamble gone terribly wrong, etc. Regardless, before his family’s fall Nigel attended the best schools, culminating with a prestigious military academy. When his family lost their fortune, he was forced to drop out of the academy with only year to go. Rather than joining House Davion’s military forces (a role he could not achieve without the necessary lambskin) he instead decided to use his skills as a mercenary. This led him to explore the seedier side of life, where he’s acquired a number of contacts, and a surprising knack for getting into (and out of) trouble.
